I have had Firewater delivered to my hotel several times and it has been great. Tonight I went to the source. I ordered 2 meats and 1 side. I opted for pulled pork and brisket. (I particularly like that for several of the meats you can choose a lean or fatty option.) My side of creamy Cole slaw hit the nail on the head. Cornbread is sweet with actual kernels of corn-not too dry, not too moist. The pièce de résistance is the taffy apple bread pudding with bourbon maple glaze. I’m sure it’s intended to be shared, but I’m all by myself. I’m taken anything that’s left with me!!

My boyfriend and I had a taste for bbq and decided to try somewhere new. I suggested this place because of the ratings, however the ratings were very misleading. I’m not sure if it’s because we were coming in the last hour and a half before they were scheduled to close or what, but all of our food was very dry, like it had been sitting there all day. The flavor was not there. The customer service was very dry. However, we should have known not to go through with our order after the dry customer service and being the only two people in the whole restaurant on a Saturday night. I ordered the rib tips and the pulled pork, BOTH were extremely dry. The tips almost had the texture of jerky. My boyfriend ordered brisket and grilled chicken, BOTH were VERY dry as well. The only good thing that came from that meal was the beans. We were very disappointed and upset because the food is not cheap (we never mind paying for a GOOD meal), however, this was not one of them. Paid over $60 for dried out food. If they knew the food was not at a good quality to be served at the time, they should have just told us they were about to close or let us know they were out of food for the day. Another thing

We loved this place so much we ended up coming back two days in a row! I had the Beef Brisket sandwich, and it was fabulous. The meat was tender, and the homemade crunchy fries were the perfect side. On our second visit, I tried the smoked chicken, which was just as impressive as the brisket. Their homemade sauce is to die for, so good, in fact, that I bought a bottle of their wing sauce to take home with me. Great atmosphere with fun music and truly amazing customer service. There is absolutely nothing to complain about here. If you’re looking for top-tier BBQ, I 100% recommend checking them out!

Don't get me wrong. This place inside was great. However the food is another story. Thinking they were serving smoked meat as advertised. Yet my brisket had NO smoke to it at all. It was like it was oven cooked. My Burnt Ends weren't burned,but with bbq sauce on them. Then I had the Brisket Baked Beans. Well just let me say this about the beans - I would rather eat beans out of a can then to eat what I was served. It's like they had liquid smoke poured in them. HORRIBLE.

Bbq was excellent. Tried the Alabama white sauce for the first time with the wings. Highly recommended. Will be back. Wife loved her pulled pork sandwich as well.
